Renowned for its therapeutic properties of waters, the island of Ischia, on the Maronti Beach where the Hotel "La Gondola" is set, boasts a unique wellness centre: the water, with the same characteristics of Cava Scura, nearby natural spring, is hyperthermal -(sodium-chloride-sulfate).

It is well known that the Island of Ischia is shrouded in legend and myths of past times. It is well known that Ischia is the favorite destination for many tourists thanks to its healthy waters properties but it is not well known that the Germans have been able to invest in it, becoming in this way proponents of the wellness tourism.
The structure of the Poseidon Gardens belongs to the Anton Staudinger's family and it is connected to the port by the bus line 2. It stretches on 50.000 meters up to the Citara bay. The thermal park has a story of ancient roots in culture and Teutonic tradition, linked to the Sebastian Kneipp's trouble, German presbyter, whose the first complaint dates back to 1853. He owes his success to Mr. Merkle, deputy in the Reichstag.
Big names characterize his life, proving the validity of his hydrotherapy methods, such as the publisher Ludwig Auer, who founded the first circle; Pope Leo XIII, who named him "Monsignor"; Alfred Baugmarten, founder of the first International Kneippian Doctors' Association. He was surnamed by the first cure "cholera chaplain" and afterwards he become inventor of one of the major therapeutic methods used today in all spas.

This is a summary picture of the Spa and Wellness Center of Villa Teresa, in the beautiful Bay of Citara, whose the properties of water, alkaline, and iron, have been known for ancient times.

"Don't cry, young boy, take heart and so instead of tears, you will have bath in healthy waters that will bring joy and relieve the diseases. On these shores which made empty your prayers, those who are suffering from earache will be relieved. " How nice these words! The same poetic feeling you get crossing the threshold of 'O Vagnitiello, idyllic spot in the countryside, situated in Casamicciola, where you can admire an enchanting view. An ancient historical tradition, as the etymology of the word, which comes from "Bagnitiello", formerly "The Bagnitielli". "Have bath there ... and there you will be healed," it said in a reflection of the Passionist Fathers of Casamicciola Terme at that time.

Born in 1892 and for 30 years cosmetics leader, Ischia Thermae combines so well the skin cure through the typical Thermal Skincare Programme and the aesthetic. In fact it uses the healthy properties of clay and thermal waters to prepare mud masks for face and body, through vegetable extract and natural essences. The person who chooses the centuries-old experience appreciates the professionalism, competence and the poor artificial products processing.

An island of peace and serenity, (the) Castiglione Thermal Park is set inside a green natural basin, that is lounging gently into the sea. Two colors stand out: the intense green of flower beds and timber pines that almost close to protect it, and the crystal blue of thermal pools and a patch of sea on the horizon. A local saying captures it: The bluest green you've ever seen!
Equipped for every kind of events or celebrations, the Castiglione Thermal Park is a refined resort, with welcoming rooms for tourists from all over the world, ample parking, panoramic restaurant (like 'tavern-pizzeria), and evening entertainment in the 'Ulisse' hall.
The undisputed star are the 11 thermal water pools at 8 different temperatures which are continuously drained through modern systems.

Set apart from chaos of the port and comings and goings of tourists, the Nitrodi spring is located in a unique faunal context and a breathtaking view. We are in Buonopane, loc. Barano, to the South of the island, that – we can say – maintains its original charm of a unpolluted landscape, and wild at the same time.
The Nitrodi spring, mentioned in the ancient poetic tradition and local toponymy as place of nymphs, differs from therapeutic properties of waters, considered as medio-minerale (made of bicarbonate of calcium, potassium and sulphur) and hypothermal.
